Job: Waste Support Officer (2 posts)

Salary: Grade 6 (£27,711 - £30,060)

Contract type: Full time

Hours: 37 hours per week

Location: Middlewich 

We have a great opportunity for you to take your environmental services career forward, as we are looking to recruit a team of Waste Support Officers. 

We are looking for innovative, inspiring individuals who work well within a fast-paced environment.  Your drive for improvement and skill for bringing new ideas and solutions to the table will support the continuous improvement of our services.

You will apply your skills to provide advice and guidance to residents to bring about behavioural change, in order to maximise recycling and minimise waste.  You will proactively investigate issues and look for areas of improvement working closely with the front line operational teams. 

In order to be considered, the ideal candidate will:

  • Have excellent customer service skills
  • Be proficiency in the use of IT and Microsoft Office and have good report writing skills
  • Be knowledgeable of current environmental issues in particular those relating to Waste Management
  • Be able to use their own initiative, organise, prioritise and manage own workload to meet customer demand whilst under pressure to meet strict deadlines
  • A full UK Driving License 
  • The post holder must have the ability and willingness to work flexibly and be able to travel across the borough as and when required
  • This role is based in the office 5 days a week.
